About Us
Chandra Shekhar Azad Govt. P. G. College, Sehore established in 1956 as an Inter College, is one of the most reputed colleges of M.P. spread over a vast area of 24 acres. Interestingly during its initial years it catered to the educational needs of a huge bulk of area as Sehore district encompassed Bhopal also. With its historical and mythological background and urban in its nature, it comprises backward as well as tribal population especially in Nasrullahganj and Ichhawar tehsils. The phenomenal trend in the population of Sehore district is that the percentage of SC, ST, OBC population is much higher than that of the general category. The students of other towns adjoining Sehore like Narsinghgarh, Kurawar, Shujalpur, Kalapeepal, Shajapur, Fanda also get enrolled in this college. Naturally a fair chunk of them come from rural ambience and lower economic group. Due to their backwardness and lack of awareness, there is an absence of proper educational environment. Keeping this in view, our college has always put an extra effort to keep the students abreast of latest developments because the college believes that education is the touch-stone of civilization and culture of a country. With its meager resources, therefore, the college has shouldered immense responsibility and strives to imbibe what is inscribed in its emblem.
